Eygalières in an Artist’s Camera

Here, presented to public view, is the painter Alfred Latour’s own collection of his photographs: a private album, so to speak, of the place where he lived. While it is apparent that these were not taken with aim of being exhibited, yet, with the passage of time, they are wonderfully revealing of another age and place. Along with the photographs, there are also a number of his paintings and sketches of the Alpilles.
