It was Olivier Christinat‘s mastery of three modes of expression that seduced the members of the jury:
– The aesthetics of his photography
– The quality of his drawings
– The originality of offering on one page or a double page four large texts in extenso :
The Pentateuch, Virgil’s Aeneid, Dante’s Divine Comedy and finally Kafka’s Metamorphosis.
In this ambition, the text becomes a graphic object without forgetting the readability and the primordial presence of the character in its original language.
Olivier Christinat now has one year to complete his book project, which will be published by Éditions Actes Sud.
The release of the book is scheduled for the fall of 2022.
In addition, Olivier Christinat receives a grant of CHF 20,000.–.
The Alfred Latour Foundation finances and manages aid for the publishing of the book to be published through support for the production of an amount of CHF 60,000.–.
